NAM DELEGATES

A NAM Delegate is a "representative" of the National Apostolate - a "sales rep" for NAM and is also a "representative" of the local parish or mission - a "voice" for that community, relaying any ideas or opinions of the pastor and parishioners. In short, the delegate is a most important link between the "national" and the "local." Each Parish/Community is represented by 2 delegates who are appointed by the Clergy that have been a member of NAM for the previous year. The primary goal of the delegate is to promote the works and goals of NAM within their parish. The role of the delegate is essential since NAM is a non-profit organization that relies on the ground level for constant support, growth and enhancement.

Why you should become a Delegate

Being a NAM Delegate gives you an opportunity to represent your local parish or mission and to serve on a national level. You would experience the larger environment that makes up the Maronite Church and would interact with many fellow Maronites, laity and clergy from all over the country. If you are an effective delegate, your service can become a stepping-stone to serving on the NAM Board of Directors.
